Dr. Wei Yang is a Lecturer of Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He graduated with a major in Sports Medicine in Wuhan Sports University from 2000 to 2007 (Bachelor and Master) and received his PhD degree in 2012 from School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He also was a Post-Doc in Medical College, Tuebingen University, Germany (2012.10-2014.05) and Department of pathophysiology, School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2014.09-2016.10), respectively. Dr. Yang’s research is mainly focused on nutritional epidemiology and prevention of type 2 diabetes, gene-nutrients interactions and risk of type 2 diabetes, biological significance of heme oxygenase-1, autophagy, non-coding RNA and toxic mechanism of Deoxynivalenol (DON) in human samples or toxic effect in different animal models and cell lines. He has published 15 original papers in SCI-collected journals as First author or Corresponding author, including Archives of Toxicology, Cellular Physiology and Biochemistry, Food and Chemical Toxicology, European Journal of Endocrinology and Journal of Applied Toxicology
