Dr. Meian He is tenured Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health, School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST). She graduated with a major in Maternal and Child Health in 1999 and received her PhD in 2007 from Tongji Medical College. Dr. He’s research mainly focused on the effects of environmental and genetic factors and their interactions on environment-related diseases (especially coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes) and the corresponding mechanisms. Currently Dr. He is leading a National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars to investigate molecular epidemiology of type 2 diabetes and serves as a major participants in the Dongfeng-Tongji Cohort Study (DFTJ cohort) in Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DMC). Dr. He has published over 100 original papers (65 of them published in SCI-collected journals including Circulation, GUT and Hum Mol Genet).
