1992年本科毕业于同济医科大学环境医学专业,1995和1998年同济医科大学卫生毒理学系研究生,获医学硕士和博士学位,2007.11-2008.12获国家留学基金委资助作为访问学者在美国University of Pennsylvania学习。自1998年7月毕业留校任教以来,一直从事卫生毒理学教学与科研工作,负责毒理学基础和毒理学进展的课程教学,指导的本科毕业论文获湖北省优秀学士学位论文奖。研究方向为外源化学物毒性作用及分子机制,主要关注环境化学物与神经退行性疾病的关系。主持多项国家自然科学基金面上项目、教育部留学回国启动基金和中央高校自主创新研究基金等科研项目,并参加国家自然科学基金重点项目。主要社会兼职有湖北省毒理学会常务理事、中华预防医学会卫生毒理学分会委员、中国毒理学会生化与分子毒理学专委会、神经毒理学专委会和毒理学教育专委会委员。参加编写《食品毒理学》(副主编)、《毒理学基础》双语教材等。
