二级教授,博士生导师,获国务院政府特殊津贴,入选国家高层次人才计划、湖北省公共卫生领军人才和教育部新世纪优秀人才。兼国家职业健康标准专业会委员、中华预防医学会劳动卫生与职业病分会常务委员、湖北省预防医学会劳动卫生与职业病专业委员会主任委员等。全国高等学校教材《职业卫生与职业医学》(第九版,人卫社)第一主编,国家一流本科课程《职业卫生与职业医学》主讲教师,牵头团队2023年入选校优秀研究生导师团队。
主要研究方向:环境污染物的健康危害及预防策略研究,重点关注生产性粉尘和空气污染物的心肺健康危害。先后主持国家基础研究973课题、国家自然科学基金重点和面上项目、科技部重点研发课题等,牵头或参与起草10余项国家职业卫生标准。2014年获国家科技进步二等奖(排名第一)、2007年湖北省科技进步一等奖各1项(排名第一),获省部级二等奖2项。第一或通讯作者发表论文300余篇,SCI收录200余篇,包括Lancet、Am J Resp Crit Care、Diabetes Care、Euro Resp J、PLoS Med、J Hazard Mater、Thorax、Chest、Environ Int等国际一流期刊。
